Since I’ve been living in Exuma for the past four years, the only consistent support I’ve received has come from my Holy Spirit–filled church in Farmers Hill and from FNM supporters. These were the people who stood by Bahama Drama during my lowest moments from living in the bushes, to an abandoned house, to finally having the means for security, first and last months’ rent, and even helping me secure a job here in Exuma. Their compassion is what helped me escape homelessness.
At one point, I even lived in the generator room of the BTC tower in Farmers Hill the blue building at the top of the hill above my church, Ebenezer Union Baptist Church.
What makes their kindness even more meaningful is that none of these individuals knew about my Facebook following or my influence. They helped me simply out of genuine human compassion, something that has unfortunately become rare in our country.
In the past, I personally reached out to Chester Cooper for assistance. And guess what Bahama Drama received? Absolutely nothing.
So, for the first time in my life, I will not be voting for an independent candidate, and you already know why.
Bahama Drama has never voted for a major political party candidate before. But there is a first time for everything.
And why is it that hundreds of millions of dollars are coming out of Exuma into the Bahamas Treasury and this island only get a constituency allowance of $100 thousand dollars back out of it?
That’s just like working for 40 hours a week and you’re boss taking back 85 percent of your hard earned money. The young people in these islands want more and better and they are willing to vote outside of their comfort zones to get better. FYI she might well get my support and vote!
I remember leaving the building almost every morning before 5 AM in the morning so that no one would notice me coming out of the BTC generator building. And on Sundays when everything was closed I could sleep late but that’s when I started making my first mistake not knowing church hours getting spotted by church members many times. Such embarrassing moments to recall as if they were yesterday. I will never forget any of this ever!
This is my unfiltered truth. A lot of people obviously have never been awakened because a Diesel generator just auto cranked on because the city power is off at 3 AM in the morning and you have to leave the building where you live on the bathroom floor or the Fumes will possibly kill you, standing outside in the cold draft dark, while out island Mosquitoes have their way with you until the diesel generator shuts back off because power has been restored.
I’d still have to wait another 45 minutes to an hour for the room to clear out from toxic smoke. But little that I knew, the diesel deposits where everywhere in the building already.
I tell no lies, this is what I lived and survived in the Bahamas. He who feels it, knows it…
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince has announced that the Kingdom is prepared to invest one trillion dollars into the United States economy, and he made it clear during a recent interview that this extraordinary decision is driven by the leadership and influence of President Donald J. Trump. The statement was delivered plainly and confidently, signaling a level of trust and strategic alignment between the two nations that has not been seen in many years.
During the interview, the Crown Prince emphasized that Saudi Arabia feels the United States is finally offering long term stability and a reliable environment for large scale investment. He credited the shift directly to Trump’s economic approach, his relationship building style, and his clear commitment to strengthening American industry. According to the Crown Prince, this renewed confidence is what ultimately opened the door for the one trillion dollar commitment.
Analysts note that the relationship between Trump and the Crown Prince has developed into one of the most influential partnerships in modern geopolitics. Trump’s direct negotiation style appeals to Saudi leadership because it removes uncertainty and avoids the diplomatic vagueness that often slows global agreements. The Crown Prince’s willingness to publicly link a trillion dollar initiative to Trump’s leadership is viewed as a significant demonstration of trust.
Economists around the world have reacted with a mixture of excitement and caution. A trillion dollar foreign investment would energize multiple sectors of the American economy, from technology and energy to infrastructure and advanced manufacturing. Even if the final investment unfolds gradually over time, the very fact that such a pledge was publicly made has already shifted global expectations. Financial markets recognize that sovereign funds rarely make statements of this magnitude without substantial preparation and intent.
This announcement also signals a major geopolitical message. Saudi Arabia has a long history of balancing relationships across multiple world powers, but this commitment indicates a clear preference for deepening ties with the United States at a moment when global influence is being heavily contested. Trump’s leadership appears to be the central reason for this alignment, with the Crown Prince describing the current environment as strong, predictable, and supportive of mutual long term goals.
If fully realized, the one trillion dollar investment could become one of the most significant economic partnerships in modern history. More importantly, it reflects a renewed level of global confidence in American leadership. Trump’s return has clearly shifted international sentiment, giving the United States a competitive advantage in attracting major foreign capital at a scale not seen before.
The Crown Prince’s statement is more than an economic promise. It is a declaration that the world’s most influential leaders are watching the direction of the United States closely, and some are choosing to respond with unprecedented financial confidence. A trillion dollar pledge is not symbolic. It is a strategic signal that under strong and decisive leadership, the United States remains the safest and most attractive destination for massive long term investment.
What we do have a problem with is misinformation parading as truth. This video is not just wrong, it distorts reality and pretends to spin an educational opportunity into a political handout.
They claim that online university courses are suddenly free because the government is “paying for them” so they’re free for Bahamians. That is a bold face lie. Free online university courses have existed for decades, not just recently. This isn’t a political giveaway, it’s a global educational movement.
I know because I’ve walked this path myself. I studied through these online platforms. That is how I learned computer science, network security, and multiple programming languages: C++, Visual Basic 6.0, C#, Python 2, Rust, and C, but Java ver. 15 on my own. These are real courses from real universities, freely available long before anyone made a flashy video about them.
Let me lay out the facts:
* MIT’s OpenCourseWare began in 2001, putting real undergraduate and graduate course materials freely online (lecture notes, problem sets, syllabi, etc.).
* Carnegie Mellon’s Open Learning Initiative started releasing interactive courses around 2002.
* The UK’s Open University launched its free content platform, OpenLearn, in 2006.
* Yale began offering full video lecture series online for free in 2007.
* Stanford’s Engineering Everywhere initiative made engineering and CS courses public starting 2008.
* Then came the MOOC explosion: in 2011, Stanford professors ran massive open classes, and by 2012, Coursera and edX had launched , Coursera with dozens of universities, and edX founded by MIT and Harvard. Berkeley joined via BerkeleyX around the same time.
Because of efforts like these, millions including Bahamians have had access for years to world-class university-level learning without paying a cent.
Here’s why the misleading claim in the video is so dangerous. It may seem small to some: “Oh, they’re just exaggerating, a little spin.” But big lies often start small. And when you start believing little lies, it makes you wonder: how many other things is the government lying about?
This is exactly why our Bahama Drama Facebook page has always been a staunch advocate for a Freedom of Information Act in The Bahamas one with real teeth, the kind of law that forces transparency and accountability. We believe in a system where citizens can demand access to government records, ask tough questions, and hold power to account.
To draw a parallel: in the United States, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) has been the backbone of government transparency for more than 50 years. It was signed into law on July 4, 1966. It came into effect on July 4, 1967. Since then, it has been strengthened through several amendments.
Transparency is not optional. When access to information is blocked, it opens the door to corruption, deceit, and abuse of power. That is why we, at Bahama Drama, fight for a robust right-to-know law, because citizens deserve the right to see what the government is doing behind closed doors.
So LaTray we expect the truth every time!

BREAKING NEWS: Chaos at the Golden Isles By-Election Tonight
NASSAU — Tension is running high in Golden Isles tonight as unverified but serious claims emerge about the handling of ballot boxes during the by-election.
Ballot Box Concerns
Reports from the ground allege that ballot boxes were escorted by police officers who were not wearing visible identification numbers. Some supporters claim that party representatives who were working the polls were not allowed to accompany the boxes, leaving many questioning the chain of custody.
At this time, none of these allegations have been independently confirmed. Election officials have not yet issued a statement addressing the concerns.
The Four Candidates
Tonight’s by-election is a four-way contest featuring:
Darron PickstoCk of the Progressive Liberal Party
Brian Brown of the Free National Movement
Brian Rolle of the Coalition of Independents
Karen “Kim” Butler, running as an Independent
Each candidate has spent the past weeks aggressively courting voters, knowing Golden Isles is a key swing constituency that could shape political momentum heading into the next general election.
Tensions Rising
Eyewitnesses describe the atmosphere as chaotic. Supporters from multiple camps are voicing frustration, demanding transparency, and expressing concern over the integrity of the process. What began as a routine by-election has now turned into a night filled with confusion and mistrust.
What Happens Next?
With four candidates in a tight race and questions surrounding ballot security, the final result in Golden Isles remains completely uncertain. Whether Darron Pickstock or any other candidate emerges victorious will depend not only on the vote count, but on how tonight’s concerns are handled.
The first Time I was just kidding in the post. I was only trying to make some of my PLP friend’s nanny in dey boo boo. And confuse the FNM with name VS the face. And give some hope to the underdog’s, the COI. So as for now I’m done having fun now. I think…

Understanding Trauma Bonding, Groupthink, and the Rise of the Political Drone in Bahamian Voting
People in every country believe they choose their leaders with a clear mind. But anyone who studies human behavior knows that in politics the mind is rarely clear. It is shaped by fear, hope, pressure, community identity, and old loyalties that feel like family ties. In the Bahamas this is even more intense because of how small the society is and how deeply the two major parties are woven into everyday life. What many voters don’t realize is that a large part of their loyalty is not political at all. It is psychological. It is emotional. And for many it is trauma bonding.
Trauma bonding happens when someone becomes attached to a person or group that hurts them but also rewards them just enough to keep them loyal. It creates a cycle of emotional confusion where the victim believes the abuser is also their savior. In abusive relationships this looks like punishment followed by affection. In politics it looks like years of broken promises followed by election season treats food entertainment handouts threats and emotional manipulation wrapped in bright colors and loud music. That is not democracy. That is textbook trauma bonding disguised as celebration.
Every election Bahamians watch rallies where supporters cry laugh shout dance and swear loyalty to the very groups that have also disappointed them. Why. Because the brain becomes conditioned to associate the party’s colors with belonging. The party’s song with identity. The flags with childhood memories. The leaders with hope. And when emotional memories are fused with political symbols it becomes extremely difficult for a person to detach even when they are fully aware of the failures. The bond becomes stronger than the truth.
Groupthink then takes over. Groupthink is when people stop thinking as individuals and start thinking as a crowd. Opinions begin to match the group instead of their own reasoning. Doubts get silenced. Independent thoughts feel dangerous. The person becomes absorbed into the hive. In political environments groupthink is fuel. It tells the voter that supporting their party is the only acceptable choice because everyone around them is doing it. It tells them the other side is the enemy. It tells them switching parties is betrayal. It whispers you must stay loyal or you will lose your place your identity your people.
This is where election season becomes predictable. The rallies. The free shirts. The free food. The concerts. The speeches that promise a new day every five years. The sudden appearance of the same politicians who were invisible for four years. This is not random. It is a reenactment of the trauma bond cycle the reward stage where the party gives just enough emotional stimulation to reactivate loyalty in its supporters. It taps into the bond that was created long ago. It reminds the mind not to leave even though the relationship has been unhealthy for decades.
Now this is where the concept of the Political Drone emerges. A Political Drone is a human being who has surrendered independent thought to a party’s emotional programming. They no longer examine policies on their own. They no longer evaluate leaders with logic. They do not vote based on performance. Their vote is automatic as if their mind has been pre programmed by years of conditioning trauma bonding and groupthink. They defend their chosen party even against evidence. They attack anyone who questions it. They repeat talking points that were fed to them but cannot explain the deeper meaning behind them. They behave not as citizens but as programmed political devices. Not because they are unintelligent but because their emotional bonds override their reasoning.
The Political Drone is the natural product of trauma bonding mixed with groupthink. It is what happens after fifty years of back and forth between two dominant parties where the public has been trained to see politics not as a choice but as a bloodline. Many citizens are not voting for leadership anymore. They are voting for emotional comfort. They are voting for family tradition. They are voting for the party that hugged them during election season even if that same party ignored them after winning. That is the painful truth.
So how do citizens free themselves from this psychological trap. They must first become aware that they are in one. Awareness breaks the illusion. They must step back emotionally and look at the parties not as family but as service providers. They must evaluate leaders based on results instead of childhood memories. They must allow themselves to think independently even if the group around them disagrees. They must break the emotional cycle and reclaim the mental space that political conditioning has occupied. And most importantly they must accept that loyalty without performance is not patriotism. It is captivity.
The Bahamian people are powerful. Their minds are powerful. But political parties have mastered the art of emotional influence. Understanding trauma bonding groupthink and the creation of the Political Drone is the first step to freedom. The next step is the courage to vote with clarity instead of fear memory or programmed loyalty.
Bahama Drama will always shine a light on the things most people feel but rarely say. And this is one of them. When you Vote today in the constituency of Golden Isles vote for an independent candidate or COI BRIAN ROLLE to break the generation cycle 🚴 Don’t be a knucklehead for anybody…

Political Drone’s will attempt to attack this post because it exposes the candy land Illusion built around them every election season. It’s a trauma bond. Their biggest fear is, you taking your power back!
🔥 BREAKING NEWS: Massive Blaze Rips Through Goldie’s at Arawak Cay, Five Structures Damaged as Fish Fry Faces Its Darkest Day
A fast moving inferno tore through Goldie’s restaurant at Arawak Cay this afternoon, engulfing the iconic Fish Fry in flames and destroying four adjoining stalls before firefighters managed to wrestle the blaze under control. Heavy smoke billowed across the western Nassau waterfront as crowds gathered helplessly, watching the beating heart of Bahamian street cuisine burn before their eyes.
Authorities confirmed that no injuries have been reported, but the physical damage is extensive and the emotional shock across the community is profound.
How the Fire Started and Spread
The blaze erupted shortly after midday inside Goldie’s, one of Arawak Cay’s most recognized food stalls. Within minutes the flames jumped from one wooden structure to the next, fueled by dry timber, intense kitchen heat and the tight cluster of buildings that define the Fish Fry’s layout.
Eyewitnesses described hearing popping sounds from gas lines and stored cooking materials as the fire accelerated. Vendors grabbed what they could, some while screaming, others in stunned silence. One bystander repeated words many have said for years
“This place too close together, we been know a fire like this was bound to happen.
Arawak Cay’s Hidden Vulnerability: Beloved but Exposed
Arawak Cay’s charm has always been rooted in its simplicity, a row of colorful, home grown food stalls where tourists and locals gather to taste real Bahamian life. But that simplicity comes with danger.
The structures are built extremely close together, almost touching, with narrow walkways and shared lines running between them. Some Bahamians compare the arrangement to shanty town spacing, where buildings sit tightly packed with few firebreaks and many flammable materials.
For decades this closeness created a warm, island family atmosphere. But today it turned a single fire into a chain reaction.
As one longtime vendor said through tears
“We live simple, we build simple, we work simple, but today our simplicity is what burn down.”
Firefighters Battle a Clustered Inferno
Crews from the Royal Bahamas Police Force Fire Services responded quickly, facing intense heat, fast spreading flames and structures built so tightly that once one caught fire, the others became instant fuel.
A firefighter at the scene put it plainly
“Everything was too close, too connected. Once it jumped one stall, the rest didn’t stand a chance.”
Even after the flames were contained, crews remained on site to monitor hotspots and assess whether the remaining structures are safe, though many are likely total losses.
Economic Shock: Jobs Lost, Income Cut Off, Futures Uncertain
Beyond the charred rooftops and broken beams lies a deeper crisis.
Many vendors at Arawak Cay operate without fire insurance because commercial policies are costly and hard to maintain. If even a portion of the damaged stalls were uninsured, those business owners may have no path to recovery.
And the fallout extends further
Employees have now suddenly lost their only steady source of income.
Cooks, servers, cleaners, bartenders and helpers, many of whom live week to week, now face an abrupt and painful break in wages. Several expressed fear about how they will support their children or pay rent in the coming days.
“The fire done out,” one employee said softly, “but the trouble now start.”
Questions the Public Wants Answered
This disaster forces critical questions onto the national stage
• Are the building standards at Arawak Cay ever adequate
• Have repeated warnings about stall spacing been ignored
• Should the area be redesigned with proper fire buffers and safer construction
• How many stalls had insurance
• What assistance will employees receive and how soon
• And does this reveal deeper risks in other tightly packed communities across the country
When structures sit wall to wall, with propane tanks, fryers, wiring and fuel sources all compressed into small spaces, the margin of safety shrinks to almost zero.
Today proved a hard truth
When conditions are ample, what can go wrong usually does.
Cultural Loss: More Than Buildings Burned Today
The Fish Fry is more than a place to eat. It is an institution woven into the Bahamian identity. It is where families gather after church, where tourists get their first taste of the islands, where musicians play, where stories travel, where celebrations begin and where memories root themselves into the culture.
To see it burning felt, for many, like watching a part of Nassau’s soul take fire.
The Road Ahead
Government officials are expected to conduct a full investigation, but the community already knows the core issue, the closeness of the structures made this disaster inevitable.
The rebuilding process must balance what makes the Fish Fry special with what will keep it safe. The simplicity of Arawak Cay is beloved, but simplicity without protection is fragile.
Vendors will need support. Employees will need income relief. And the nation must confront the reality that nostalgia cannot outweigh safety.
Final Word
Arawak Cay has survived storms, recessions, lockdowns and social change. But today was different. Today exposed vulnerabilities that can no longer be painted over or ignored. Fires do not negotiate, they do not wait and they do not forgive.
The Fish Fry will rise again, Bahamians always rise, but this time it must rise smarter, safer and stronger for the sake of everyone who calls that place home.

Bahamian people are resilient they will find a way to overcome this catastrophe. But for now let’s keep all of these people in our prayers…
