About LOL242

LOL242.com is a Bahamian news, entertainment and humor website. We bring you what people across The Bahamas are talking about: the news, the drama, the laughs and the everyday stories of island life.

LOL242 is owned by PayDat LLC. It was founded by Michael Elijah Muhammad Clare, who also runs the Bahama Drama Facebook Page. LOL242.com is the home of Bahama Drama on the web, and many of our stories begin as conversations with the Bahama Drama community.

Our mission

Our mission is to keep Bahamians at home and abroad informed, connected and laughing. We want every island to have a voice, every story to be told fairly, and every reader to leave a little better informed than when they arrived.

What we cover

• Bahamas news: daily briefings and the Caribbean Pop Da News roundup, with sources named.
• The Family Islands: Abaco, Andros, Eleuthera, Exuma, Long Island, Inagua, Grand Bahama and the islands that big media often miss, with Nassau and New Providence too.
• Culture and community: Bahamian history, heritage, faith, food and local business features.
• Entertainment and humor: gossip, reader stories and satire. Satire is always labeled.
• The Bahama Drama archive: years of Bahama Drama Facebook Page history, searchable by year.

Our standards

We aim to get the facts right and to correct mistakes quickly. Read our Editorial Standards and our Corrections Policy.
