We need to open up our borders to more Jamaicans

Good morning Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous. I am a born Bahamian but my parents are both from Jamaica. I learned early in my life growing up in Nassau that you have to hustle hard if you want anything from life.

My daddy taught me that everyone is my competition and I need to be 10 time’s better than them in everything if I’m to make it here in the Bahamas. I learned a lot from my cousin’s who’s been here for a little while but raise in Jamaica.

Now they some real hustlers. I joined up with a few other Jamaicans in Nassau and we formed our own businesses around Nassau called, OpenC.ltd.

We have a mobile carwash business, a stationary carwash and now a bar and restaurant that’s doing very well for us. Although most of our employees are Jamaicans we are still an equal opportunity employer.

Most of the Bahamians that we do hire they don’t last long because they either are very lazy or don’t want anybody telling them what to do that’s a Jamaican.

I think that the Bahamas government should completely open up the Bahamas for all Jamaicans citizens if the Bahamas want to really grow and prosper.

Besides there’s no such thing as a pure Bahamian blood anymore we are all mixed up with something like for real.

Open up the floodgates for my people Mr. Davis. One love.
