Visitor’s Post:
Good night Bahama Drama.
I’m from South Florida, and though this is my first time visiting the Bahamas, it’s not my first time visiting your Facebook page. I’ve been following for about a year now, and truth be told, your page is what brought me here.
The stories you share made me want to come meet the people behind them; the same people whose spirit and humor shine through every post. And let me tell you, the humor really doesn’t stop. Even at the airport in Nassau, as we were stepping off the flight, the pilot cracked a joke so funny that it instantly confirmed what I had been reading all along: these are real Bahamian moments, real stories, and real laughter, undiluted and genuine.
I come from a big family that lives for humor. We came to the Bahamas for a good time, but more than that; for the kind of laughter that lingers, that turns into memories we’ll share around the dinner table and at cookouts for years to come the kind of moments that help heal wounds and ease the heaviness of life.
Just two weeks ago, we lost a beloved family member after her eight year battle with cancer. We needed a breather, something outside the usual, and a chance to gather together as a family in a place that could remind us what joy feels like. That’s why I suggested the Bahamas; because of the stories I’d been reading here on Bahama Drama.
Even the taxi ride was filled with jokes and warm smiles, the kind that felt welcoming and sincere; just like your page. It felt like confirmation that this trip wasn’t just a vacation, but an investment in our family’s healing.
I’ll keep you updated once we get settled at the hotel. For now, good night.
Bahama Drama Reply:
We’re deeply grateful that you took the time to share this with us. Knowing that Bahama Drama played a role in your family choosing the Bahamas as a destination truly humbles us.
It’s unfortunate, however, that despite reaching over 10 million people globally each month; over 120 million yearly; our work still goes unrecognized by our own Ministry of Tourism. Our mission has always been to share our country’s stories in a way that uplifts, entertains, and connects people to the real Bahamas. We never post anything that would harm our nation’s reputation; in fact, we do the opposite.
Still, we are often misunderstood when it comes to our importance and the positive impact we’ve had on global tourism.
But tonight, your story reminds us why we keep going. Thank you for reminding us that these stories matter; not just here, but across the world.
