The Parable of the Wise Farmer
The Parable of the Wise Farmer
A wise farmer feeds his animals according to their nature.
To the pig, he gives what pigs eat.
To the goat, he gives the goat’s portion.
To the chicken, he gives what chickens desire.
For each creature eats only what suits its spirit.
In the same way, in your ministry, do not give wise sayings to fools, and do not waste simple teachings on the wise.
Each soul must be fed by the measure of their own spirit.
Discern the nature within a person,
and feed them according to their spiritual hunger.
