Tell somebody
Tell somebody
When I came across a post that was shared with me, called “Tell Somebody” I knew I had to say something.
I am a 40-year-old MAN who was molested by a close family member.
Many men, especially of color, do not come out telling their story.
But when I realize I survived what killed someone else, it makes me want to scream it from the mountain tops.
I am the youngest of 6, and when I was caught watching porn at the age of 10, I just knew that the MAN would tell my mother.
Instead of telling my mother, he made me give him oral sex.
Being a male child who lost his father at the age of 7, put me on a journey looking for affirmation.
I must admit that because of this molestation, I have struggled with my sexuality.
For all of you that understand struggle, please overstand it is not bad.
Being a male child and having my manhood taken by a man, left me struggling with who I be.
To struggle, means to fight with or to contend with.
I know that God created me as a male child, that should grow into a man.
I am NOT non-binary, because I know I am a MAN of God and of valor.
My family did not believe me when I told them, and being raised in a Christian home made me question God.
I asked God why, how, and what did I do to deserve this?
The answer came at the age of 34 saying, “I allowed you to go through it, to show others they can get through it as well.”
I ended up in homosexuality for many years, and 7 years later, I can say I am celibate waiting on God to bring me my good thing.
What is funny is when my molester died in 2016, the Lord used me to speak at his funeral.
I spoke from a place of healing instead of revenge.
Please forgive those who have offended you, because it gives you freedom!
I wrote a book called “Broken but not destroyed” by Dontae Nelson on Amazon, to tell the story of many people who are fighting for victory from victory.
What has not killed us, God is using to strengthen us.
No matter what legislation is saying, be who God created you to be instead of the agenda they are pushing you to be!
“Tell somebody” because their lives are depending on you, telling them they CAN MAKE IT!
