Small Miracles count too
Small Miracles count too
Good afternoon Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous kinda I guess. My uncle was dying from a terminal disease I’m not going to say what it was so that family members won’t react or get mad at me for bringing up our family business.
But at the same time I want to thank God for even the small miracles that we fail to see as we’re so busy with our lives.
Well anyway my uncle in his 60’s was on his death bed and his doctors told our family that there was nothing else that they could do for him at PMH and that the family should prepare for funeral arrangements for my uncle
so that’s what our family started doing because my uncle didn’t have life insurance on him. So everyone started putting money together and having cookouts to raise money while still going to see him daily because the doctor only gave him a few months to live.
That’s my Mommy’s oldest brother so Mommy was talking it the hardest everyday and you could’ve seen it on her face. She even started smoking crack again something that she had stopped doing from the early 1990s.
Our family now had another tragedy on our hands and everyone was now feeling it. I even started tooting coke with my brother every time I got paid at the end of the month.
Our family was literally falling apart minute by minute.
My then baby daddy started selling his boogie over PI. little that I knew he was on crack and coke as well and under some other kind of stress I knew nothing about and didn’t care at the time because I stayed high, even if I had to credit it from my suppliers.
Anyway my uncle who was dying best friends came over to visit him on his dying bed. This best friend my uncle hadn’t seen since both of them were bartending at the old hotel over PI he had told me when I was younger, bragging about how him and his friend were players and had all the girls back in their days, that’s how he get auntie Trisha his wife who died many years before.
I still remember him telling me the story’s eyes so full of light and life as he told the story of him and his best friend.
Well his old best friend must have seen our families post on Facebook and got in contact with our family and was now in Nassau.
He called us as soon as he got to the airport and my brother who’s a taxi driver was there to pick him up. When he got to our house all of us was surprised.
All of our mouths dropped wide open looking at my uncle’s best friend.
We couldn’t believe our eyes and what we were looking at.
Yeah we couldn’t.
He was a transgender guy with breasts face makeup and everything. He had on one female outfit that was killing it.
I mean heals and all smelling like a bed of roses 🌹.
But this was one ugly looking dude, tall and bowlegged with hazel eyes.
Our whole family was in shock except for my brother who had just picked him up from the airport.
And I know that the he/she felt it!
My lil sister broke the ice commenting on her heels and the outfit she had on asking her where she bought it from which caused the whole family to snap back into reality.
She had a hotel already booked and after sitting down for at least 2 hours of talking and the he/she telling stories of her and my uncle younger days working as bartenders and how whorish both of them were in their early 20’s, saying my have things changed.
She told us how she had changed her life after she moved to the US and how she lost her first husband, do to a bone marrow disease after 10 years of marriage.
The whole time I was thinking, damn if my uncle wake up and see this shit, it gah kill him now for sure!
That afternoon we all plan to go see my uncle the following day.
The next day we all went to the hospital to see my uncle Ray and as soon as his friend saw him laying up like that in that hospital bed with tubes in his mouth and I V hooked up to him, he started one bitch ass crying loud as fuck in male ward.
We were all like wtf dude in our minds!
The nurses came in to calm her down and was going to remove her until they heard the American accent and decided to just try calming it down.
Mommy started to cry now too and it became too much for me. So I step out to take a hit of coke at the time.
When I got back in I was high as fuck thinking that the government was trying to clone my uncle’s body to take him back to the US that’s why his friend was pretending to be a woman but only I knew she was a he.
I was now in soldier mode, keeping my eyes on anyone who went too close to my uncle including the nurses.
I don’t know if my supplier had mixed his product with something else but I felt like I was able to pick up these hospital beds with one hand and start slanging them at the nurses if they tried something.
And if they had the doors blocked with government agents I was already prepared to snatch my uncle up and go through the roof with him and jump down the back of the hospital with him and escape through the Fort fin castle area by the mechanic yard by the 66 steps.
I was then gah call my family for backup and hide in Mason edition until night time.
Thank God no doctor’s or nurse didn’t take blood or do anything else to him that afternoon because I was ready for war with my new superhuman powers the coke gave me.
Visiting time was almost over and maybe it was a small miracle but the nurses who were in charge of keeping my uncle sedated had missed 3 injections for the day our family was later told.
But just as my uncle old friend went to kiss him on his lips my uncle went to punching grabbing his old friend by his throat telling him he’ll kill mother fucking him and how he don’t like man and everything else.
Our whole family had to get my uncle to let loose of this nigga clothes.
All I can say is my uncle was out of the hospital the following 2 weeks and right here still cussing all us out saying that we tired to let him get raped by a mad man.
That’s why I said that I believe in small miracles because this was one. Nobody in my family is using drugs anymore and yes I left my baby daddy and got back together with my other baby daddy.
And my uncle and his old friend aren’t friends anymore which I find to be kinda sad still.
