Psalm 92:1–4
A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.
It is good to praise the Lord and make music to Your name, O Most High, proclaiming Your love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
For You make me glad by Your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what Your hands have done.
Exodus 31:16–17
The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between Me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.
