“I was 16 years old and working at McDonald’s in New Providence, Bahamas. I was walking home from work one evening, feeling really discouraged. I had just gotten into a fight with my girlfriend, and I was worried about my grades. I was about to give up on everything when I saw a bookbag on the ground.
I picked it up and opened it, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. There was $789,322.00 in cash inside! I couldn’t believe that I had just found so much money. I thought about keeping it, but I knew that it would be wrong. I could get in trouble for stealing, and I would never be able to live with myself if I did something like that.
So I took the bookbag home with me and hid it in my closet. I didn’t tell anyone about it, not even my best friend. I was too scared that someone would find out and take the money away from me.
A few weeks later, I decided to use the money to start my own business. I knew that it was a risky move, but I had nothing to lose. I used the money to buy some equipment and rent a small space.
I now have my life together and have replaced all of the money that I spent out of it. I’m looking to return the rest of the money to the true owners of this money.
