My baby, is the devil
My baby, is the devil
Dear Readers,
I hope my words find you well, for what I am about to share with you is a chilling tale that has haunted me for far too long. It is a story of darkness and uncertainty, of a boy born with two horns on his head on the mysterious island of Abaco in the Bahamas.
As a mother, my heart swelled with love when I held my son, Adrian, for the first time. But my joy quickly turned to fear as I noticed the two small horns protruding from his delicate head. It was as if a shadow had been cast over my happiness, and a sense of unease settled within me.
Adrian’s green eyes, once captivating, now held a sinister glint that sent shivers down my spine. He grew at an alarming rate, standing at four feet tall by the tender age of three. It was unnatural, as if he was fueled by an ominous force beyond our understanding.
Sleep evaded me as I lay awake at night, contemplating the whispers that spread through the island. They spoke of my parents, who practiced dark arts in their time, and the connection they had to my son’s ominous appearance. The rumors persisted that Adrian was the devil incarnate, a being meant to bring forth malevolence and destruction.
My fears were confirmed as strange occurrences followed in Adrian’s wake. Animals behaved erratically around him, as if sensing a malevolent aura. The skies darkened, and the weather turned tempestuous whenever he was near. And the more he grew, the more his intelligence seemed sinister, like he was hiding malevolent intentions behind his innocent facade.
Sending him to school became a daunting prospect. My heart ached at the thought of exposing innocent children and their families to the darkness that surrounded my son. But I had to maintain the façade of normalcy, even though I felt like I was nurturing something far from ordinary.
In the community, the initial acceptance turned into apprehension and fear. People began to whisper, warning each other to stay away from Adrian. Some claimed they saw him talking to shadows or heard him muttering strange incantations under his breath. Fear began to grip Abaco, and it was clear that my son’s presence was causing unrest.
As much as I loved Adrian, I could no longer deny the sinister undertones that had enveloped him. It was as if evil had taken root in his soul, manifesting itself through the horns on his head and the darkness in his eyes.
My mind was plagued with memories of my parents and their dark practices. Was there a connection? Could this have been their malevolence coming back to haunt me through my own son?
The island’s tranquility shattered one fateful night when a series of inexplicable incidents occurred. Thunder rumbled without a cloud in the sky, and the waves roared, threatening to engulf the island. People spoke of a chilling presence that lurked in the shadows, causing a sense of impending doom.
And then, my worst fears were realized. Adrian disappeared into the night, leaving a trail of chaos in his wake. Houses caught fire, the once-thriving wildlife vanished, and a chilling silence enveloped Abaco as the island seemed to hold its breath.
I knew then that my son was far from ordinary. He was a harbinger of darkness, a being that had been cursed since birth. The people of the island were right all along – Adrian was the devil incarnate.
As I write this, I stand alone on the island of Abaco, the remnants of my community reduced to ruins after Hurricane Dorian. The sinister force that surrounded my son has consumed him entirely, leaving nothing but destruction in his wake.
My heart is heavy with sorrow, knowing that I couldn’t save my son from the darkness that consumed him. But I share this story as a warning to those who may come across a child whose appearance and intentions are far from ordinary.
For evil can hide in the most innocent of faces, and once unleashed, it can ravage everything in its path.
May you be vigilant and wary of the shadows that lurk in the corners of our world.
With a heavy heart,
Isabella loving white Bahamian Haitian mother
