Maybe he Was to Good for Me, So I Ruined the Relationship

Good evening Bahama Drama, please share my story.

I know everyone has faults, but this man had none and I mean none.

We met at my son’s school during a PTA meeting. He kept watching me like he knew me, and at first, I thought it was rude. Then I wondered if maybe he was someone from my past that I just couldn’t remember.

After the meeting, he approached me, like I knew he would and asked my name.

I told him it was Samantha and asked if he knew me from somewhere, since he was eyeballing me the whole time.

He laughed and said, “Oh no, sorry about that. I just thought you were so beautiful I couldn’t stop looking. I’m Marco. My nephew goes here. I’m just filling in for his mom, she’s working a double.”

Then he asked if I was married. At first, I wanted to say yes, but something inside told me to be nice. So I said, “No, I’m not married, but I do have a very jealous boyfriend.”

He quickly said, “Oh, I’m sorry. I don’t want to cause no problems. I just wanted to see you again, if it’s not an issue.”

I immediately snapped back: “How you gonna ask another man’s woman to see her again? Ya head can’t be good!”

He stayed calm and said, “Yeah, you’re right. Please forgive me. You have a nice day, Ma’am.”

That “Ma’am” had me hot. I said, “Who you calling Ma’am? I’m only 27! You look twice my age, Sir.”

He chuckled, apologized again, and started walking away with his nephew. But as I watched him leave, I noticed how fine he was, and his cologne was on point.

He got into a black Honda, looked like a 2024 model. I told my son to go with his auntie for a minute, then rushed to his car before he drove off.

I knocked on his window and said, “Do you always give up this fast?”

He answered, “Only when I see I’m not wanted.”

I told him, “The only reason I carried on with you like that is because plenty men approach me acting all gentlemanly, but later I find out they have nothing going on, just sweet talk. But I can see you’re different. You kept your composure when I was rude, and I like a man who can do that.”

He said, “So what you saying, you really wanna talk?”

I smiled, “I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.”

That’s how I gave him my number. He asked if I was sure it was okay with my boyfriend. I admitted I didn’t have one, I only said that because I thought he was like all the rest.

A whole week went by before he called. By day four, I was vex, thinking maybe I scared him off. But when he finally called, he asked me on a date.

We went to this nice restaurant out west. I had never been there before, and I looked cute that night, natural hair out, feeling myself. My sister kept my son.

We had a great time. When he dropped me home, I kissed him on the cheek. He asked, “Is that all you have for me?”

So I gave him a blowjob, just to let him see what he could have if he made me his woman.

After he got home, he called me right away, saying he wanted to see me tomorrow too.

We dated for months, but he never took me to another upscale place again. That made me feel like maybe he was seeing someone else.

I started blowing up his phone, catching bad attitudes, because it felt like he lost interest. My sister even claimed she saw his car parked by Nicole’s house a known hoe in my neighborhood who loves other people’s men.

So I started watching her house, timing everything. He stopped calling me for two weeks, three days, 16 hours, and 17 minutes.

Yes, I wrote it in my journal.

Later, I found out Nicole’s brother was actually his best friend and coworker. My brother confirmed it, so I let it go.

I moved on and found me a new man that works at BTC. I’m not chasing nobody anymore. If they don’t think I’m good enough, that’s their business.

And maybe, just maybe, after reading this, Marco might realize what he let go and regret it.

Thanks for sharing my story, Bahama Drama. I know you won’t judge me.

No, I won’t judge you. But maybe now you realize you gave too much too soon, and that might have devalued your worth in his eyes. Slow down with relationships, find your value as a woman, and you’ll be just fine. God bless you.

( We changed all names.)
