Knowing Your Pee
Your pee can say a lot about your health without you ever stepping into a doctor’s office. The color of urine is a quick, easy way to tell if your body is hydrated, or if something might be wrong.
Clear or pale yellow means you’re well-hydrated and healthy. Bright yellow could be a sign you need a little more water, while dark yellow or amber is your body’s way of shouting, “Drink up!” Orange urine can sometimes come from food or vitamins, but it may also point to liver issues. Brown or cola-colored urine could mean a serious problem with your liver or kidneys. Pink or red urine may be harmless if it’s from certain foods, but it could also be blood, which means you should see a doctor right away.
By paying attention to your pee, you give yourself a simple daily health check. It’s free, it’s fast, and it might just save your life.
