I have a little odor
I have a little odor
Yeah, I Smell. So What? Deal With It.
Alright, let’s get this out there. I’m tired of the fake smiles and the whispers behind my back. Yeah, I know I have body odor. Big deal. You think I don’t notice how people scrunch their noses when I walk by? Or how they hold their breath while talking to me like I’m some kind of walking landfill? Please. I’m not stupid. I see it all. And honestly, I’m over it.
Let’s be real here. I work at a hotel in Nassau no, I’m not telling you which one or what I do nice try. It’s hot, it’s humid, and yeah, I sweat. So what? You expect me to smell like a field of roses 24/7? Newsflash I’m human. Humans sweat. Humans smell. Get over it.
And before you start with your unsolicited advice, let me stop you right there. I don’t use deodorant or body spray. Why? Because I don’t feel like it. It’s my body, my choice. Besides, those things are expensive. Do you know how much a decent stick of deodorant costs these days? I’m not about to waste my hard-earned money on something so trivial. I’ve got better things to spend my cash on, like, I don’t know, food? Rent? Priorities, people.
And no, I’m not going to try harder to smell better. Why should I? I’m not here to impress anyone. If my natural scent offends you, that’s your problem, not mine. The world doen’t revolve around your delicate sensibilities. You want me to change? Tough luck. I’m not changing for anyone. I’m comfortable in my own skin and my own smell, and that’s all that matters.
So, to all my coworkers who can’t handle a little BO keep smiling in my face and talking behind my back. Keep holding your breath like I’m some kind of biohazard. Keep wasting your money on overpriced deodorants and perfumes. Meanwhile, I’ll be over here, living my best life, smelling exactly how I want to smell. Deal with it.
Sincerely,
The Guy Who Doesn’t Care What You Think I don’t want to be Bahamian anyway. When my contract ends I want have to put up with you people ever again!
