Help! Stuck Between Daydreams and Detention: A Confession

Okay, deep breaths. Keep me anonymous Bahama Drama. Brace yourselves, internet. This ain’t your typical “OMG prom dress drama” post. This is about Algebra, and a whole lotta hormones doing the rhumba in my head. Buckle up, ’cause things are about to get…confusing.

See, there’s this teacher. Let’s just say Euclid never looked so good in a sundress. And maybe, just maybe, I’ve crossed a line or two from admiring glances to full-blown creeper status. Yeah, I said it. Creeper.

Here’s the not-so-proud truth: I skip school sometimes. Not to party, not to ditch homework (okay, maybe a little of that). I skip to watch her. From the bushes across the street, like some teenage paparazzo with a textbook. I know, I know. Stalker alert. Trust me, I get it. I hate myself for it too.

But this teacher’s laugh? It’s like sunshine skipping on water. And when they explain parabolas, their eyes crinkle at the corners, and suddenly, factoring quadratics becomes the hottest thing since sliced bread.

I’m drowning in daydreams. Daydreams of stolen glances across a crowded classroom, of whispered secrets under the bleachers at a Friday night football game. It’s crazy, I know. Totally inappropriate. But this isn’t some Hollywood flick where the forbidden teacher falls for the starstruck student. This is real life, and the only thing falling here is my GPA, straight into the abyss.

So, internet, I’m throwing myself at your mercy. Adults, teenagers, whoever’s out there: hit me with your best shot. How do I reel in this runaway crush before I end up in juvie (or worse, detention)? How do I stop the daydreams and focus on, you know, actual math? And maybe, just maybe, find someone my own age who doesn’t grade my homework?

Help a lovesick (and slightly stalkerish) teenager out. Your advice could save me from failing Algebra…and my sanity.

Sincerely,

The Geometry Romeo (aka The Bushes by the Teacher’s Apartment)

P.S. To the teacher, if you’re reading this (which you probably aren’t, because who stalks their teacher on Facebook?), please know that I meant no harm. You’re an amazing teacher, and…well, let’s just say you make factoring a whole lot more interesting. But I promise, I’ll find a healthier way to appreciate your…passion for parabolas. Just don’t tell the principal about the bushes, okay?

Remember, kids: Crushes are normal, but stalking is not. If you’re having feelings for someone who is off-limits, reach out to a trusted adult for help. There are healthy ways to deal with your emotions, and stalking is never the answer.

Adults: If you know a teenager who is struggling with a crush, be understanding and supportive. Help them find healthy ways to cope with their feelings, and let them know that you’re there for them.

But to tell you the truth, I think I might end up breaking in her house to at least just lay down in her bed and leave before she gets home.
