Company awarded the contract: A Nassau based company.
There were two other reputable Grand Bahamian companies that bidded for the project.
There are two things wrong with this contract being awarded to this Nassau based company.
1. The persons involved with this Nassau based company. Generals of the MP for Pineridge who are also cousins of the said Minister. And the fact that these same individuals have had several contracts while other PLP generals sit on the sideline.
2. The fact that during hurricanes. Grand Bahama is left to take care of Grand Bahama. But as soon as a dollar is to be made people come from every other island to benefit. While Grand Bahamians suffer. We need to be like the out islands and stand up for our own.
I can now understand the sign at the entrance of Gold Rock.
I see why Grand Bahama will NEVER return to being the “Magic City”
We need change in Grand Bahama.
