Ghosts in Parliament no bullshit
Ghosts in Parliament no bullshit
Listen I don’t care what nobody say something’s wrong with that place. There’s real devils in there.
Six years ago I used to clean the House of Assembly when the company I worked for had the contract. I was there late at night sweeping mopping wiping down desks normal work. But let me tell you when that place get quiet it too quiet.
I never used to believe in ghosts like that. But after what I see with my own two eyes I don’t even like walking past that building after dark.
The First Time I Saw Them
One night I was working alone in the main chamber. It was past 2 AM and the place was dead silent. I was wiping down the wooden benches minding my own business when I hear something talking.
At first it sound far away like a Parliament debate going on in another room. But the voices was too many low murmuring then getting louder like an argument about to break out.
I turn around and I see them.
Men and women sitting in the benches. Some Black some white all dressed in old-fashioned suits and dresses not from this time. At first I thought maybe it was just shadows playing tricks on me. But then I look closer and I recognize a few of them.
I see faces I know from portraits on the walls.
Dead politicians. Leaders. Ministers.
They wasn’t looking at me. They was arguing shouting at each other pointing fingers slamming hands on the benches like they still debating some old bill from 50 60 years ago. But I couldn’t make out no words just this loud buzzing sound like a swarm of angry bees.
Then just like that they disappear.
I stand there heart beating fast trying to tell myself I just seeing things. Maybe I tired. Maybe the air playing tricks on me.
But the next night.
They come back.
They Saw Me
This time they wasn’t just sitting.
One tall stern-looking man in a black suit stand up and start pointing at another ghost across the room. He face was tight his mouth moving fast like he real upset. Then a woman in a long dress stand up next to him. She look angry but also like she in pain.
That’s when I mess up.
I gasp.
The tall man snap his head toward me. His eyes black. Hollow. Empty. The kind of eyes that make your chest tighten up.
Then the others start turning.
One by one.
Looking straight at me.
I feel my legs move before I even realize what happening. I run.
I ain’t stop running till I was outside gasping for air. My supervisor laugh it off say I too jumpy. But I know what I see.
And it ain’t stop there.
The Whispering and the Basement
Every night after that I hear them. Footsteps when I know ain’t nobody else inside. Chairs moving by themselves.
And the whispers.
Not loud arguing no more soft whispers. Right in my ear.
Betrayal Treason Revenge
Sometimes I swear I hear my own name.
And then there’s the basement.
Anybody who work there know about the basement. It been there from colonial times back when the British first build the place. Some say it was a holding cell for prisoners back in the old days. Others say it’s just storage.
All I know is nobody go down there at night.
The other cleaners talk about the locked door down there. The one with the scratches all over it like somebody try claw they way out. They say that’s where the real spirits are.
One night I let curiosity nearly kill me.
I go down there.
The door was right where they say it was. Old rusted covered in weird markings. I put my hand on the knob.
And then.
A voice on the other side call my name.
I run out so fast I nearly trip over my own feet.
Supervisor tell me it just the wind but I know what I hear. The House of Assembly ain’t just a government building. It’s a place where the dead still fighting for power.
And if those spirits ever break loose.
Pray for all of us.

I don’t believe this one, but still you never really know if she really saw something still. The place is old as hell.
