Story: The Contest on Mount Carmel
In this story, Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal (a Canaanite god) to a test to see who the true God is. He proposes that both sides sacrifice a bull on an altar but not light the fire themselves. The god who answers with fire will be proven to be the true God.
However, Elijah doesn’t use water to “burn down” the logs. He does pour water around his altar three times, but this isn’t to douse the fire. Instead, it symbolizes the drought that gripped Israel at the time and emphasizes the challenge of igniting the sacrifice without human intervention.
Ultimately, Elijah prays to God, and fire comes down from heaven, consuming the sacrifice, the altar, and even the water around it. The prophets of Baal, despite their frantic prayers and even self-harm, receive no response from their god. This event leads the people of Israel to acknowledge Yahweh as the true God.
I wonder if we had a contest in the Bahamas similar to this one in the Bible and include all of these fake religious leaders and false Prophets in the Bahamas who would be answered by the God of world’s!
Like here’s a good test.
1.) The Prophets, asks God to stop the murders in the Bahamas for either 1 week straight.
2.) Religious leader, ask God to stop the murders in the Bahamas for 3 days straight.
3.) Bahama Drama, ask God to stop the murders in the Bahamas until June reaches. But only after all of 1 and 2 on the list have failed.
What do y’all think? Because, Bahama Drama is friends with God, and he will answer my prayers just to show the people who is, his only righteous prophet in the Bahamas.
