The Vaccine, My Body, and the Truth I Can’t Ignore
I’ve been a physician for over 25 years. I’ve dedicated my life to healing others, to trusting science, and to believing in the systems designed to protect us. But today, I’m sharing a story I never thought I’d tell a story about betrayal, about fear, and about the irreversible changes I believe were forced upon me and so many others. This is not easy for me to write, but I feel I owe it to myself, to my colleagues, and to anyone who has felt the weight of this truth but hasn’t been able to speak it.
When COVID-19 hit, I was on the front lines, just like so many of my colleagues. I watched people suffer, I held the hands of the dying, and I prayed for a solution. When the vaccine was announced, I was hopeful. I trusted it. I believed it was our way out. But then came the mandate. The state of New Jersey gave us an ultimatum: take the vaccine or lose your job. For me, that wasn’t just a job it was my calling, my livelihood, and the means to support my family. I have four children three in college and one still in high school. My husband and I made the decision together. We all took the vaccine.
At first, I thought I was fine. But within weeks, something felt off. It started with a strange sensation, like something crawling in my veins. I dismissed it as stress or fatigue. But then came the headaches, the joint pain, and the overwhelming fatigue that no amount of rest could fix. My body, which had always been strong and resilient, felt like it was no longer mine. I began to experience episodes of tachycardia my heart racing for no reason. My blood work showed elevated inflammatory markers CRP and ESR were through the roof. My colleagues joked it was just “getting older,” but I knew better. This wasn’t aging. This was something else.
Over the next three years, my health continued to decline. I developed neuropathy tingling and numbness in my hands and feet. My cognitive function began to slip; I’d forget words mid-sentence or lose track of what I was doing. I’ve since learned that these symptoms align with what some researchers are calling “spike protein-induced autoimmunity.” The spike protein in the vaccine, which was supposed to train our immune systems, may have triggered an overactive immune response in some of us, leading to chronic inflammation and tissue damage.
But here’s the hardest part; I’m not alone. So many of my colleagues people I trained with, worked alongside, and considered family are experiencing the same thing. Some have already passed away. One died suddenly of a heart attack at 52. Another developed aggressive cancer within months of vaccination. And then there are those of us who are still here, still fighting, but feeling like we’re living on borrowed time.
I’ve spent countless nights researching, trying to understand what happened to me. I’ve read studies about mRNA integration, about how the spike protein can persist in the body far longer than we were told. I’ve looked into the possibility of genomic integration could the vaccine have altered my DNA? As a doctor, I know how far fetched that sounds, but as a patient, I can’t ignore the evidence in my own body.
What hurts the most is the silence. We were told this vaccine was safe, that it was our only hope. But what if it wasn’t? What if we were part of an experiment a massive, global trial that none of us consented to? I think about my family every day. My husband and children are fine, but I live with the fear that whatever is happening to me could happen to them too.
I share this not to scare anyone, but to bring light to a truth that’s being buried. To those who took the vaccine and are suffering in silence, you’re not alone. To those who were forced to choose between their health and their careers, I see you. And to those who are still advocating for these mandates, I beg you to listen to the stories of people like me.
I don’t know what the future holds for me. All I know is that I’ll keep fighting for my patients, for my family, and for the truth. Please, pray for us. Pray for those who are suffering, for those who have passed, and for the ones who are still here, trying to make sense of it all.
Thank you for letting me share my story. And thank you, Bahama Drama, for giving me a place to speak my truth. Sometimes, laughter is the only thing that gets me through the day.
With love and hope,
