Dr. Julian Johnson Hits Out at Government Neglect Over Critical National Issues

Dr. Julian Johnson has taken a firm stance against what he calls the “dangerous absence of government oversight” on the issues that matter most to Bahamians, from public safety and national security to infrastructure and accountability. According to Dr. Johnson, the nation’s leadership has grown complacent while ordinary citizens are left to fend for themselves in the face of rising crime, deteriorating services, and a general sense that “no one’s really in charge.”

He argues that without proper systems of checks and balances, the Bahamas risks slipping further into instability, not because of lack of talent or potential, but because of leadership that refuses to act on the people’s behalf.
