Breastfeeding a 13-year-old
Good morning Bahama drama please keep me anonymous. I’m a mother of eight children while in my mid thirties I’m still breastfeeding my 2 year old daughter and my 13 year old son who I was never really successful with breaking him off of my breastmilk.
His therapist told our family that I must allow him to break off of my breast milk by himself for years or I might cause trauma to this psyche if my husband and I force him to stop.
Over the years I’ve tried many tricks to get him unattached to my breast milk but none seemed to work on him.
I’ve tried hot sauce and goat pepper which had my titties burning but I had to give it a try along with other things including aloe, honey whipped cream something some of my male coworkers had suggested, but none of these old remedies ever seemed to work on him.
But instead made him more eager to breastfeed again.
My husband says that there’s something mentally wrong with my child but I know he’s just short of patience with our son.
Even my Mommy concluded that my husband is also just to short tempered with our son and blames it on lack of discipline.
He believes everything calls for beating and discipline.
The the psychiatrist over the years have told us that my son have a lot of anxiety and this is the main reason that he can’t come off of my breast milk.
And so each morning that I wake up I always happen to find him on my breast breastfeeding to my amazement he’s looking me up in my face and my two-year-old is usually now out of the bed laying on the ground.
I’m afraid he may hurt her over my breast milk one day.
We had to leave our home in Long Island for my son’s psychotherapy in Nassau which isn’t going very well to be honest in my opinion.
He sometimes hit me forcing me to lie still as he breastfeeds if his father is not home.
Though he does not bite my breast it still feels uncomfortable to me at his age. Does anyone else have this problem with their teenaged child and God how did you ever get over it?
I would really like to know what did you do to break your teenage child out of breastfeeding?
