Black fathers be like!!

Black fathers be like!! ♥️✨

Being a Dad isn’t work it’s a privilege to me.

A honor bestowed upon me by these mini goddesses and everyday I try to prove myself worthy knowing I’ll always fall short and that’s okay.

How could I be fully worthy?

I’m just a man perfectly flawed.

I fail and fail and fail again but in this failure lies the keys to success.

See being a great dad isn’t about the things you buy, it’s not about the places you go or even how well off you are.

It’s about the time you put in, the days you are dead tired but you still show up for them

it’s about putting the toys together at night just for the smile on their face in the morning

It’s about watching that same Disney movie 100 times and singing every song together

and it’s about the love you give even when you are struggling to love yourself.

If I could give them the world I would

and that still wouldn’t beat the fact that in the hard days, when my body hurts and all I want is rest.

I can find peace in sleeping on the floor holding my babies hand so that she stays in her bed.

I’m a Dad and I don’t need a reward for it.

My reward will be my children growing up and being good people and great mothers when their time comes.
