🚨 Luna Says Sleeper Cells Are Coming from the Bahamas… But Where’s the Proof? 🚨
This week, U.S. Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna sent shockwaves across social media, claiming a “boatload” of Iranians and Russians was caught trying to illegally enter the U.S. from the Bahamas, and she boldly tied it to fears of sleeper cells and terrorism.
“Am I concerned about sleeper cells? Absolutely. This is NOT a conspiracy theory, it’s a serious national security threat,” Luna declared.
But so far, the facts don’t back her up:
❌ No official U.S. Coast Guard report
❌ No timeline, no location, no photos
❌ No confirmation from Bahamian authorities
The story remains completely unverified, yet it paints The Bahamas, a peaceful, tourism-based nation, as a threat to U.S. security.
But here’s the deeper concern: This isn’t the first time Florida Republicans have aimed wild, hostile words at The Bahamas.
🔙 Remember Ron DeSantis?
While running for president in 2023, then-Florida Governor Ron DeSantis went on record saying that if The Bahamas launched missiles into Florida:
“We would flatten it… within like five minutes.”

The remarks sparked outrage and condemnation, with Bahamian leaders calling the statement “distasteful” and dangerous, while the U.S. Embassy had to distance itself from his comments.
And now we see it again, another Florida Republican pushing a narrative that makes The Bahamas look like an enemy of the U.S.
So we must ask:
🧐 Why do Florida Republicans seem to always have malice in their hearts for The Bahamas, the United States’ closest and most loyal ally in the Caribbean?
🌴 What did our small island nation ever do to deserve threats of being flattened, or being falsely tied to terrorist activity with zero proof?
Our islands have always welcomed Americans with open arms, yet time and time again, Florida politicians treat us like enemies on their campaign trail.
So Luna, you ain’t the first, but God willing, you’ll be the last American politician to slander The Bahamas for clout.
We stand for peace. We stand for truth. And we will stand up for ourselves, even when the lies come from the very top.
