Are we looking for Swift Justice, or are we just playing hangman?
Are we looking for Swift Justice, or are we just playing hangman?
Bahama Drama extends sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased during this incredibly difficult time. No loss of life should ever be taken lightly, and our thoughts remain with those who are grieving.
At the same time, we believe it is important for justice to be carried out in a manner that is fair, balanced, and consistent. In our view, the Bahamian veteran police officer involved should have been considered for bail, as is often the case in similar legal circumstances.
This situation raises an important question for us as a nation and for our justice system: Are we seeking measured and impartial justice, or are we allowing external pressures to influence how that justice is applied?
These are not easy questions, but they are necessary ones if we are to uphold both accountability and fairness within our society.
