STATEMENT BY THE HON. PHILIP DAVIS QC MP

ON THE PASSING OF THE MOST HON. ARTHUR D. HANNA

For Immediate Release
3 August 2021

The lion of the Progressive Liberal Party has left us. I am deeply moved on this occasion, saddened yet empowered because I know of the legacy which he left us. He dedicated his life to The Bahamas. The political instrument was the Progressive Liberal Party. We will miss you Arthur D. Hanna.

Mr. Hanna grew up in Acklins then moved to Nassau to attend the Government High School. He never forgot his home island. At the Government High School, he formed a permanent bond between himself and the late National Hero Sir Lynden O. Pindling. They were lawyers and they entered the struggle using their profession to catapult the national struggle for majority rule and independence into the consciousness of Bahamians.

Mr. Hanna is credited with initiating Bahamianization as a national policy. He believed that The Bahamas was for Bahamians and he never wavered in his decisions as the Minister of Home Affairs.

He laid the foundation together with his colleagues of the comprehensive system of education which we enjoy today when he was Minister for Education. He set the initial rules to help the poor as Minister of Finance, through the social safety net which is now incorporated in our Social Services Department.

That was Arthur Hanna, dedicated to wiping every tear from every eye, building our country with our own hands. He was the quintessential patriot.

He said we must be an independent nation and drove his party in that direction, never flinching that this was the way to go.

He was a mentor to former Prime Minister Perry Christie and Hubert Ingraham when as young ministers they joined the Cabinet.

When others walked away from me at a challenging time in my political life, Arthur Hanna was my protector.

For all of these reasons, we owe Arthur D. Hanna a debt of gratitude.

We say rest in peace from your labours. You have done a yeoman’s work. Go with God.

On behalf of my wife Ann Marie, the Deputy Leader Chester Cooper, the Parliamentary caucus, the entire officer corps and supporters of the PLP, I extend condolences on the passing of the lion of the PLP.

May he rest in peace. Go with God my dear friend.

She has blood on her hands

Good evening Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous.

My sister is 37 years old and by now I feel like she should know better and should have changed.

I watch her bury at least no less than 8 new born babies in our backyard.

She throw a couple of them in our open cesspit over the years because she didn’t want no baby from this one and that one.

Afterwards she would go to the hospital and say she had a miscarriage and the baby came out in pieces and that she thought that it was nanny so she flushed it.

The hospital keep believing her and would take out the leftovers of the placenta and send her home 2 hours later.

Now my my sister 3 months pregnant again from her new boyfriend I just hope that he doesn’t make her mad.

Am I just as guilty as her for knowing and not telling the rest of the family about what she is be doing to give early birth with clothes hangers?

Am I just as guilty for knowing she takes these special pills that she is get from this African doctor to make the baby come out early?

Can my sister die if she keep doing that?

She has 8 children already that she didn’t end up killing and one have missing arms.

She’s not on Facebook so I know she’s not going to see this post but just for asking sake am I also involved with all these killings of innocent souls by not saying nothing?

I know that it’s a little too late to be saying something but what if the baby found the other day is my sister’s baby that’s why I’m talking about it now.

While her actions are inhumane it is still her body.

Have you tried encouraging your sister to tie her tubes?

She clearly goes with the wind and is unsure about becoming a mother, it’s inhumane to end the lives of the babies she keeps giving birth to.

Jogger’s Lungs Collapsed After Running With Facemask.

Here Is Why You Should Avoid Working Out With Masks.

The rapid spike in the coronavirus cases worldwide has made us even more conscious about our health. People around the globe are taking every necessary precaution to keep themselves safe from getting infected from the new strain of the virus. While it is being promoted to practise social distancing and maintaining good hygiene; wearing a face mask has been made compulsory in almost every public place. Even if facemask causes you discomfort or leads to difficulty in breathing, you know you cannot take it off. But what if it lands you in a hospital. That’s what happened with a jogger after running with a facemask.

A 26-year-old man from China’s Wuhan city ended up in a hospital with a complaint of chest pain after he went for a jog while wearing a face mask.

As per a report, even though the man was having difficulty in breathing, he ignored the signs and kept jogging. To make up for the loss of two months of lockdown, he pushed himself really hard to cover the distance of 6 km instead of 3 km.

After reaching home, he complained of chest pain and was immediately rushed to the hospital. On examination, the doctors revealed that the man’s lungs collapsed due to performing intense workout while wearing a face mask.

Breaking News

All saints camp is being used as a Covid19 camp as of earlier last month by the ministry of health. As you may know PMH is overwhelmed with Covid19 patients so the government have been using the Aids camp to store the overflow of the very sick.

Registered nurses are always on the camp compound 8am-4:pm and 5 days a week, so no worries there!

But some inside the government’s opposition are calling it a death camp.

I’m ready to have his baby

Good afternoon Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous.

Before I begin let me just say this

nobody is forcing me to get pregnant it’s my choice alone.

I’m 15 but will be 16 in December so I am no longer a minor and have given my boyfriend now 28 the permission to make me pregnant.

My mother really likes him for me and the rest of my family likes him to except my daddy.

But my daddy don’t have no say because he ain’t do nothing for me or raise me so he can sit small like my mother say.

My boyfriend doesn’t have any children and he has his own bus service that makes lots of dollars every day

He is a true success story like my mother said because he dropped out of school to drive bus because he had to take care of his family like I will be doing soon after I have this baby for him to hold on to the money that people is give him that rides his bus

He knows that I’m good with math so he said that I’m his accountant

He says that he is going to marry me and my mother has already given him her blessings

but my father is to negative about it because him in my father are always in competition on the same bus route everyday like he trying to run my boyfriend off of the road for dollar.

I just wish that my father can be more supportive of me and stop being so jealous of me and my boyfriend’s success on this road and in life period.
