She believed in me

She believed in me

Good afternoon Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous. I was always in trouble growing up in Bimini as a boy that’s why my Mommy sent me to Nassau to live with my auntie.

My auntie was a God fairing woman. She believed that prayer could change the heart of anyone so she always payed with me.

I didn’t know anything about praying before I moved with her. I ended up getting in trouble again despite all of the praying she did with me

and ended up serving two years and prison for breaking and entering. When I got free a sister at the church got me a job where she worked at a jewelry store downtown

where I worked as a security officer for 1 year and was fired for stealing. This I thought was going to be the end for me but a month later this same

lady called me up and ask me was I still looking for a job. I told her yeah and I started my new job as a assistant manager at another jewelry store.

This time I took responsibility for myself and my impulses and prayed a lot while I was on the job asking God to give me strength so that I wouldn’t let the devil rob me of another opportunity.

Today makes 6 years since I’ve been the head manager for the company’s Nassau location a position that allowed me to get a mortgage to start building my own triplex apartments

and my wife and 3 daughter’s are all going to private schools and me and my wife have our own car’s. I’m very fortunate and blessed

to have had the opportunity to change my life because someone believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself.

God is really the God of second chances I Bear weakness to this. I would also like to encourage anybody going through something to just put God first and pray about it especially when you’re feeling weak or clueless as to what is right or wrong.

God can do anything. We just must all trust the process…

Big money in contact murders

Big money in contact murders

More and more men are taking on street jobs as contract killers in Nassau and Freeport. Our little country is in trouble. God is not pleased.

I had to pretend to be gay to get help

I had to pretend to be gay to get help

Good afternoon Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous. I’m 26 years old now but for 3 year’s I had to pretend to be gay in order to get assistance from the Bahamas government.

At first I went though the process as a straight male filling out all of the necessary information about myself what school I went to and my mother and father’s name’s with passport page copies I mean I went through the ringer as a single straight male.

Yes I was really at the end of my rope and basically homeless. So after a while facing all of the let downs by government and my own Bahamian people I decided to pretend to be a gay male.

I saw a lot of gay behavior’s in my life to know just how I should act so I began to go places asking for help as a young gay guy

and would you know that I never got a no from anyone in government or in the private sector as a gay male. The only problem was that other gay guys would ask me

for dates and I would sometimes have to go out with them. Before long I was eating out at the Marina village and riding on multimillion dollar yachts with pro gay friendly people and LGBTQ love was in the air.

I thought once or twice about actually belonging to the LGBTQ community for real because I have never seen so much support in any other races or groups of people.

So I did end up giving a couple of hand and head jobs in the heat of the moment but I didn’t like it afterwards.

But I do now think that this is a topic that really needs to be addressed in the Bahamas urgently before all of us start to believe that this is the only route to success.
