Loyalty Has Its Limits
Loyalty Has Its Limits
Good morning, Bahama Drama. Please keep me anonymous and share this story with your readers. I hope it encourages someone and makes their day better.
Last year, I had a bad car accident on my way to work. I was speeding, trying to make up for being a few minutes late. In hindsight, it was foolish, but at the time, I felt like I didn’t have a choice. That decision nearly cost me my life. My car spun out of control and crashed. I cracked my skull, fractured my ribs, and had internal bleeding in my head. The doctors weren’t sure if I’d make it.
I was in bad shape for a long time over a month. My family was devastated; they thought they were going to lose me. People from work came to visit me in the hospital, and I appreciated it at first. It felt good to know they cared, or so I thought.
One visit, however, stood out the most. My boss came to see me, and I expected words of encouragement or maybe even a take all the time you need to recover. Instead, she told me something I’ll never forget. After 22 years of service to the company, she said they were letting me go.
Her reason? She claimed my performance wasn’t good enough and that I’d been late four times that month. Four times. For context, I hadn’t been late for over 20 years, but apparently, that didn’t matter.
I remember lying in that hospital bed, unable to respond, just staring at her as she explained her decision. I wondered if it was really about my lateness or if my salary had just become too much for them to justify. Either way, it was clear: they saw my accident as an opportunity to cut me loose.
When I finally got out of the hospital, I filed for my National Insurance benefits, which took six long months to come through. During that time, I tried to figure out my next steps. I was still recovering physically and emotionally. Then I got a call from my old job, telling me I could come back but only for a lower-paying position with more hours.
I couldn’t believe the audacity. After everything I’d given them for over two decades working late nights, skipping family events, pushing through sickness they were treating me like I was disposable. And that’s when it hit me: I was. To them, I was nothing more than a number, a cost, a line in their budget.
I accepted the offer because I needed the money, but something in me changed. I stopped going above and beyond. I stopped sacrificing my health, my family, and my peace of mind for a company that clearly didn’t value me. I started saving aggressively, cutting back on expenses, and planning my exit.
Six months later, they laid me off completely, and for the first time, I felt free. I walked out of that building with my head held high, knowing I’d never let another job take that kind of control over me again.
Here’s what I want your readers and others to know is your job is not your life. It’s not your family, and it’s not your identity. It’s a means to an end. Don’t give them more than they give you. Don’t let loyalty blind you to reality. Put yourself and your family first, always.
Because when the chips are down, a company will protect its profits, not its people. And that’s the cold, hard truth and the world that we live in Bahama Drama .

Not a big deal
Not a big deal
Good night Bahama Drama please keep me anonymous. I’m glad that you decided to let people share their crazy stuff on your page one all of us love.
Well I have a confession. I slept with my husband’s boss at the company Christmas party because my husband was ignoring me half of the night meanwhile his boss was entertaining me good.
I thought by now I would feel guilty or some kind of way by now but truthfully I don’t feel anything but more alive then I was before I did it.
The only thing that scares me is his boss keeps sneaking over while he’s got my husband on a construction site where he can’t leave.
The sex is still hot and he gives me money every time like 3 or sometimes 5 hundred dollars before he leaves but I don’t want him to get to attached because my husband will kill him and his boss is not built like that.
I feel like this too shall pass and I’ll soon be able to put this chapter behind me. Nobody’s perfect that’s why I’m sharing my situation with others on only this page because I feel almost at home with most of y’all
and I can take the criticism because I’m a shark as well on your page but I know it’s all good in the end because I’ll get some good advice from you Bahama Drama and lots of advice from fellow page followers as well some straight to the point and others might be hard
but no matter what is said about me I’m still young and I didn’t mean for this to happen but right now I’m just taking as it comes one day at a time and yeah I know it’s dangerous but I’m praying that God make his boss leave me alone and stop begging me for some and then I’ll probably have the willpower to stop what we doing then. I don’t know.

Security Officer Outranks RBPF
Aight listen up yall Its Officer L. John here Now I know some of yall think security guards just watch over buildings but nah Im on a whole different level When I put on this badge I aint just guardin no property Im a protector of the people just like the RBPF police Matter of fact Im on the same level if not higher
Let me tell yall what happened last month I was out there workin the latenight shift at (? Primary School) mindin my business makin sure everything was secure Then I hear on my walkietalkie that a robbery went down just a few blocks away Now most people woulda stayed at their post but not me I had to go handle it no questions asked
I hopped on my bike and took off When I got to the spot I saw one of them RBPF inspectors already there But when I walked up I knew he wasnt doin it right So I stepped up to him and said Yo Inspector dont worry I got this Officer John in the buildin he looked like he wanted to arrest me to but he didn’t sign me off so.
Now I started takin control tellin him how to do his job I said First thing we gotta do is check the trash cans Thats where these criminals hide stuff trust me Ive seen it all before He looked at me like I was crazy but I could tell he was listenin
Then I told him We gotta check for people walkin their dogs too Criminals use dogs to blend in you feel me Im tellin you thats how they do it He looked at me a little sideways but I could tell he was thinkin I might be on to somethin
By the time we finished talkin the dude we was lookin for was already gone If he had listened to me earlier we woulda caught that fool Its frustrating when you know whats up but folks dont wanna listen
But lemme tell you the line between security and police is thin yall I got a badge handcuffs and a flashlight Im out here doin the job and sometimes that means I gotta step in when nobody else will So for all the criminals out there keep your head on a swivel cause Officer L. John is always on the grind and I’m bringing my license shotgun from now on the job.
Stay safe yall And remember justice never sleeps
