Hey yall, I’m not even tryna be funny or nothin, I just need advice or somebody who maybe been thru something like this or seen this before. Please don’t judge me I’m really scared and I don’t got nobody to talk to about this.

So I’m 24, I live in Miami. I got a 15 month old baby boy. His name is Julian. I work nights now as a security guard 9PM to 5AM. It’s only been a week, I had to take the job because bills been stacking up and I’m doing this on my own. His dad ain’t around, never really was. My parents live like 10 minutes away but they too old and tired they say to help with a baby at night, even tho I begged them. My mom be like “you had that baby, not me.” So I had no choice but to find a babysitter.

I found this lady off a Spanish FB group. She live close by, older woman maybe late 50s, her name is Señora Marta. At first she seemed really sweet, she speak mostly Spanish but I understand enough. She got grandkids and she say she loves babies. So I pay her to watch Julian while I work.

The first two days he was fine, I mean he cried when I dropped him off but he always cry when I leave him. But then by like day 4, I started noticing some weird stuff. Like first he bit me. Not like how babies bite when they teething, I mean he bit hard on my arm. Drew blood. I yelled cuz it hurt so bad. But then he just stared at the blood and put his mouth on it. Like trying to suck it. I pulled my arm back and he cried so loud it was like a scream. I tried to give him his bottle, he threw it on the floor.

Later that night he refused to eat. I warmed up the food I packed him, same stuff he always eat like mashed veggies and baby rice with chicken. He wouldn’t touch it. But when I went in the fridge and pulled out some steaks I had bought, he just started reaching for it and making this whiny sound. I was like what? This raw meat? I thought maybe he was just playing but when I held it near him he literally grabbed it and tried to chew on it. And it had blood on it still cuz it wasn’t cooked yet. That’s when I got really freaked out.

Next day I called Señora Marta and I asked her real calm, “Hey, are you feeding Julian what I pack for him?” She say yes of course, always. I ask her again, like “are you sure?” And she got kinda short with me and said “I treat him like my own, I love him.” I said ok but something don’t feel right.

I ain’t crazy yall. I know my baby. He used to love his bottle and now he don’t even look at it. All he want is raw red meat. He bit me again last night and I swear he looked at me like he knew what he was doing. His eyes looked darker. And cold. I know that sound dumb but they did.

He still my baby and I love him more than anything but I don’t know what’s going on. Could a baby become like a vampire? I mean is that even real? I never believed in that stuff but now I don’t know. I’m scared to leave him with her again but I don’t have no one else and I have to work. I’m just asking if anybody ever heard of something like this or maybe know what I should do.

Please no mean comments, I’m really just scared and trying to be a good mom. I don’t know what’s happening to my baby.
